Which one is the right one?

In principle, one must say that there is a suitable screen for every use.
There are two kinds of projector screens: fix-frame screens and pull-down screens. Of course, both of these kinds come in various sizes for mobile use or to be mounted on walls or ceilings.

Now, which one is the right screen for your needs?
The best screens are fix-frame screens that are permanently mounted.
These fix-frame screens are made up of a black frame (matt or velvet covered) and a piece of cloth stretched across it. Great attention is paid to getting the flatness of the cloth right. Make sure that the screen cloth has a "gain" factor of at least 1.2 and that the viewing angle makes no difference.

Often though, there is no chance to install a mounted screen. When that is the case then you should use a pull-down screen but on no account try to save money on the quality and workmanship of it.

Pull-down screens that don't have a side cord-track system start to show ripples at the side of the screen after a while, and even in the middle of it. These ripples can be avoided right from the start by choosing a cloth with a thickness of 1mm.

For you to be able to really make the right choice when it comes to picking a screen then you need to discuss your own personal requirements with a qualified dealer.
